How to decide in one week
- Pick 5 real tasks: a customer email, a quote or proposal, a policy document, a spreadsheet question, a social post.
- Run each in both, using the individual plans’ free tiers or a short paid month.
- Score them on accuracy, tone, and how much editing you had to do. Pick the winner for your work.
Don’t pay for either if…

- You’re a team of one. Both team plans need at least 2 seats.
Clinics and law firms: “not used for training” doesn’t make a tool HIPAA-ready. Ask each vendor about a BAA before putting patient data in.

Is ChatGPT Business more expensive than Claude Team?
No. They’re priced the same: $20 per user a month billed yearly or $25 monthly for a standard seat, and $100 or $125 for a premium seat. Both need at least 2 seats.
Do ChatGPT Business or Claude Team train on my data?
Not by default. OpenAI says ChatGPT Business data is excluded from model training by default. Anthropic says it doesn’t use inputs or outputs from commercial plans like Claude Team for training unless you opt in.
Can one person buy ChatGPT Business or Claude Team?
Both team plans require a minimum of two seats. A solo user would buy an individual plan instead.
How many people can be on each plan?
ChatGPT Business supports up to 200 paid seats. Claude Team supports up to 150; beyond that Anthropic points you to Enterprise.
